Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/2 onion (diced)
1 packet taco seasoning
1/8 cup of water
1 crescent dough sheet
2 cups shredded Mexican-blend cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven according to the temperature listed on your crescent dough package.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess grease.
Add the taco seasoning and 1/8 cup water. Stir until everything is well combined and let it simmer for a couple of minutes until the liquid is mostly absorbed. Remove from the heat.
Unroll the crescent dough sheet onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spoon the taco meat mixture down the center of the dough, leaving room along both sides.
Sprinkle the Mexican-blend cheese generously over the taco meat.
Cut diagonal strips along both sides of the dough. Fold the strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braid.
Bake according to the crescent dough package directions, or until the dough is puffed and golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite taco toppings like sour cream, salsa, guacamole, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, or taco sauce!
